Denée Barr creates visual diaries which explore how we perceive photography, art, music, media through subject, form, texture, composition, perspective, light, and process. 

About

Multimedia Artist, Photographer, Vocalist Denée Barr is an artistic chameleon.  An award winning fine art photographer and winner of a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award Grant 2003 for artistic excellence in photography. Denée is also an accomplished singer and First Place Winner of Howard University International Soloist Competition 1979. She is a graduate of the Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts founded by Toby Orenstein in Columbia, Maryland.
Her photographs are in numerous collections including the "Heart of DC" John A. Wilson Building City Hall Public Permanent Art Collection. Denée Barr has performed in numerous choirs and special events in the Baltimore/Washington, DC region and engaged audiences wherever she has traveled internationally with her voice, music, and art.
